Ilulissat – the starting point of your adventure
Ilulissat is a small town on the west coast of Greenland, known for the Ilulissat Icefjord, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This fjord is one of the most active in the world, producing giant icebergs from the Sermeq Kujalleq glacier. Ilulissat has about 4,500 inhabitants and is a hub for Arctic exploration. It is a popular destination for cruises and expeditions, offering a unique experience of Greenlandic culture and landscapes.
Program
Day 1: boarding
Your adventure starts Wednesday evening and ends Saturday night or early morning. You board in the evening after your flight arrives. Dinner and the first night on board. The next morning, we set sail to begin the trip.
Day 2 to 9:
Onboard, you will enjoy full board: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Every day, we will explore various sites offering excursions on land or by zodiac, or other activities. We often anchor overnight to enjoy the scenery.
Day 10:
We return to Ilulissat the evening before your departure, with time to visit the town and shop for local products or dine.
Day 11: Disembarkation
Disembarkation occurs during the night or by 9 AM after breakfast.
